This topic (how or why did I ever join The Family) has been discussed fairly thoroughly over on NDN's Bible Search board. Some say that they were really seeking at that time and that they heard from the Lord and that He answered their prayer. Others say that they didn't see the red flags. I mean, why only us, why not every other Tom, Dick and Harry? Or, after being in a time, why did some see the red flags and flee years previous to your boot into the briar patch?
My personal opinion is this: "MD came in Jesus' Name. He said that Jesus was the Christ and he deceived many." Either that or I'm deceived now and need to rejoin so that I can dream of making wondeful love to my dear daughter. Oh, and throw my wonderful mother in too - ha ha ha!
