Hi there.
This is a non-family question. A few people out there will know how I found my way onto this chat board ( and was very happy to have recieved some sound comforting and helpful words )
I'm an Athiest ( or 'A Bright' as is the emerging definition ) but I've had reason to think alot about wether or not I could embrace Christianity and have learned alot about Christianity recently.
My question is this. People have different beliefs, Christians , Muslems, Jews, Hindu etc etc etc. It would not be difficult to put a deep believer of each into a room. If all these people deeply believe that theirs is the way to salvation, surely either one or none are right. Even though each has the same deep faith.
And if you one believes that say a Muslem, despite being incredably devout is essentially on the wrong path, doesn't that call into question ones own belief ?
I find this hard to get round in my thoughts. And I'm interested in hearing what people think.
thanks
regards
Greg
