I agree that belief is a matter of the intellectual positioning. I would use the word "spirituality" wheto describe a situation where you "totally immerse yourself at a level that is not only a belief but also what marks every step of your life."
Christianity is a belief system, a religion, and there's no way around that. When it becomes a way of life, an ingrained perspective, a total worldview, I would argue that has become a spirituality that transcends the strictures of religious belief. Through spirituality, the disciple finds he or she may have more in common with "men of goodwill" than people who label themselves Christian.
Christian spirituality is based in the core beliefs, values, and discipline of walking with the Living Word, but as spirituality (not religion), listening to the Incarnate Word leads us to recognize the abundance of God's grace in many diverse places--even among those who are not self-identified members of the "club."
