It's not just ignorance of scripture and basic Christian doctrine that made people vulnerable to Berg's manipulation and lies. Ignorance about 1,950 years of church history also set people up for Berg's "prophetic" snake oil about the Second Coming in 1989 no 1993 no 2000, er, what was that about a California falling into the ocean in 1969 and a comet that fizzled out in 1973?
