Yep I agree. And also about being condemed to hell. It's the ( to me ) ultimate 'good cop, bad cop routine'. Jesus loves you, but he's also going to condem you eternity in hell.
I think people should be banned from telling this to children when they're at the age when they believe everything ( including Santa clause and the Tooth Fairy ) that grown ups tell them.
And also having read through the replies I can't see anyone has actually answered the question.
