It seems to me that the question of "copy cat groups" is pretty hard to answer. Anbody who C'opyed" theire routine from somebody else would be unlikely to admit it.
Besides, those ideas were in the air a lot a t that time. That Christianity is fundamentaly good and correct, but has been corupted by the church and the government and etc. The average hippy probably already believed that without having to be told. So anybody who claimed to be a "prophet" who was revising true Christianity would have been likely to acumulate at least some followers if he was skillful.
And these people probably croswsed paths a lot.
I remember in 1976 being on the U.C. Berkely campus and seeing three evangelists yelling at each other. And that's not even counting the Moonys that worked the area.
