Yes, at the beginning, the "love bomb" hit me and consumed my whole being. But it was a delusion. I had some scary & weird "shepherds"! I also had some family members who appeared to be my friend, but were very maniulating and self-righteous.
I never felt close to people in the Family... that so-called "love" was a facade. Maybe some people had a friend or too... maybe some of the young people... but in the FGA world, that was not to be for the most part... even between husband's and wives.
This has been talked about before on the boards... people were to be loyal to Berg, his words, and to the Family... that's the bottomline!
I never felt I could trust anyone with my true thoughts... I found out that they will probably report me... so I never could express my real feelings.
I think it's a form of denial if a person doens't really see the true spirit of what the Family represents.
Yes, there were some great experiences, we all can admit that... but that's because we are wearing the "rose-colored" glasses.
