It’s all about me!
I am the noble saviour of abused children.
Don’t dare ask about my motives
Or question the ethics of my methods.
I speak for prisoners, the silenced
And owe no explanations
Or evidence of my claims.
Don’t you see how I am
a suffering servant now--
you've spit upon me with your
petty objections and concerns
for those whose life stories
make up my little kingdom of the poor?
It’s you--not I--who create scandals
by growling like a bitch over her pups--
You must be mad to bite so good a man!
And if the taste of my wounded ego
Makes you gag and wretch, ah then--
You’ve finally seen the light, because
It’s all about me!
