hell is their home and their father the devil (John 8)... it's sure not really the same as being demonpossed, but I was wondering, if you feel more comfortable with that "info"?(I asked specifically, because from you post it wasn't clear, whether you give any thought to the "personification" of evil, in it's different forms, it sounded more like what humanists would say too?!)...if a demon is in someone or the person a son of the devil makes being around that person quite an adventure, don't you think? and from that angle, I guess sometimes people don't mind the difference so much(or get mixed up), as the fruits are what matters to them & they are bad...as the source...however,I also see, that some possessed get delivered, like in Jesus' days and were never really bound for hell...trying times to be passed through.
