Is another belief system. Why slam it? When it comes right down to it, your post sounds like you are saying only believers have brains. I guess Einstein and Mark Twain were failures by your standards?
I don't care what belief system a person has incl. atheism, people are subject to the same successes, failures, ethical standards or lack of them regardless of belief.
If your co-workers tried to fry you, you might want to look at your approach to them. It takes a lot to get a group of people that "over" you.
