If political or religious leaders in times past would have acted upon the words of Jesus, the greatest among you must be your servant & the advice given in the sermon on the mountain, then I don't think we'd have had as many "problemleaders", plus many weren't even interested in Jesus' words anyway. Not always in history were religious and political power deeply interwoven.
However, prophecy/predestination has also to be fulfilled, times & people shall wax worth, that includes people of all walks of life.
This is like claiming to have dicovered the wheel
now or boiling water/steam...it's really not a
"new book", from what I can gather.
I sympathise with the notion, that one has to really go back to the words of Jesus & not blame
Paul for everything, as many churchcritics falsely do.However, without Paul I would have little chance as a heathen to understand the words of Jesus or the judaeic roots of all. That means Pauls writings are really often pivotal in
shedding more light on the Christian conduct/faith.
