For me the key word is used. There seems to be an endless # of people who use and manipulate the core of the gospel to start all kinds of crap. I see a preacher guy on TV making a pile of money of magical spring water. Before that it was feathers or other such trinkets. In spite of this, the message of loving your enemies and doing good to others is found within hearts alive in all its splendor. I think alot of religious organizations use spiritual points like commodities. God is stocked and displayed in an orderly fashion like the flavour of the week found in food stores. The priests and wizards want to keep them all moving sharply so no one discovers they are free to not buy the latest product.
