I do so agree with that. I got my first degree at 36, [BSc (Hons) then went on to a Masters and then a professional qualification and now am doing a part time PhD [as well as having a fairly senior full time job]. I had to pay my way - no family with money and had to earn as well as study, run a home and family too! I am now also a senior member of my division of my profession and I'm only (!) 48yrs old. The drive and energy and commitment given to the cult can be used to benefit you and yours. Also the fund raising skills - I paid for all my tuition fees as I went (over £20,000). I can't imagine how I did it now.........

We will hopefully live until we are in our seventies and eighties so we might as well do whatever it is that makes us happy - oh by the by, I actually think that being a parent [mother or father] and raising children is an incredible task - demanding, rewarding and fulfilling. Not everyone is as driven as me to have a career and so forth and rightly so.
