Very nice post, I h a d many similar thoughts...living in Germany, environment-protection has become besides a political/philosophical factor meanwhile an "industrial"/economic factor...as "greenthinking" people are/have quite a market nowadays. Before I joined TF I didn't even want/have a driving license, much less a car, Walden of (Toureau??spelling) I was reading & some other back to nature stuff...

But I am very relieved to know, that God plans to make everything anew, after man did a lot of spoiling & polluting the earth, this is a big consolation to me, therefore, I'd be a pretty unhappy "green activist", had I not found faith in Jesus...cause saving that planet seems pretty hopeless, knowing/believing, that the greed of some or many people is so decisive in working havoc on earth.

Just one thought: recently I watched some program on weather-forecasts etc....they surprised me with the fact, that after 9/11 for the circumstance that no planes could take off or land in the US (besides umm, the Arabs ; ) ) the sky over a couple of otherwise smoggy megacities in the US was deep, nice blue!!...no clouds whatsoever.
