What is indisputable for you??...I'd appreciate an example...it's a bit like a lot of atheist claim, that science has enough evidence, that "matter formed itself", which for me is nonsense in itself (which thought plenty of scientist share & not dumb ones, seriously)...So when we deal with the past, we have to watch out, not fall into the mindtrap, that we know what happened, as if we were there (besides even in viewing, there's the problem of illusion!!)...another example I gave on the board, how there are serious historians, who pose serious questions about some hard to explain circumstances during the dark ages (dark ages :also for the few facts!!!), the time of Charles the Great...some say, that could be made up...that is about seven hundred years after Christ, mind you...so closer to us, yet there are enough mysteries about that time.
Other doubts are voiced about the history of Israel, e.g.by archeologists like Finkelstein etc. who say, it ain't necessarily so, when other colleagues exactly say the opposite.
So when dealing with the past, listening to lecturers or "hobby-historians", who's aim is to make a fast buck through some sensational story or even to deliberately confuse the people, like Jesus didn't die on the cross, but survived, was taken down & appeared in India etc. etc., I became very careful, also knowing, that fraud happened plenty in modern times, scientists also manipulating their stats & findings...so I am not so "shocked" by any so called evidence...moreover my knowledge of the diverse Bible-prophecies show me, that there's no book like the Bible. cheers
