Dear MG, gravitation is working also for everyone, it's a basic physical principle, that's why I stressed in my post, that there are some principle truths, e.g. if you recall that memory verse,"whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple."
That is buddhism in a nutshell, see? That's why I like the words of Jesus, they surpass that of what Buddha said.
Plus I prefer "warm...hot" people, glowing with love & kindness & not overly cool people, although to stay cool in turmoil is an achievement.Yeah, Buddhism is spreading in Europe, although the Dalai Lama stressed, that he thinks it's wiser for Westerners to make spiritual progess through the religion of the culture they were born in.
Funny, groups, like Campus for Christ signed with others an agreement to not proselytise anymore in South America, taking "them away" from the Catholic church...shows the power of the Catholic church.
There are about 20 words in the OT and the NT, which are translated with meditation, although it has not much similarity to the far eastern
technique...since I practised some of it before, my question to you would be: what do you want to achieve?...second,I like to say, there are plenty of Catholics, closer to mysticism, who embrace meditation and have quite a working knowledge...quite a few monasteries are on "that trip", offering courses & whatnot, whether it's
truly identical to the far eastern form, I wouldn't know.
