Nowhere does the N.T. say she was a prostitute. Pope Gregory of the Catholic Church named her the protitute in 591. The facts are plain, even to the Catholic Church, which quietly restored her status in 1969 during the Second vatican Counsel. It's something most Catholics and many Christians are not aware of.
