Ok, I read that article. Yes, it's an interesting subject, but I don't have a scientific background so I'm not competent to comment on that aspect. Arguments on both sides have been presented for all to consider.
After reading that article I then read this article on the same website:

The writer states: "Believing in a relatively 'young Earth' (i.e., only a few thousands of years old, which we accept) is a consequence of accepting the authority of the Word of God as an infallible revelation from our omniscient Creator."
Personally, I think that says everything you need to know about these particular creation theorists.
