I know my Bible History though, (through my own personal research) before I read the book, and just rolled my eyes at the whole gnostic push in it.
I couldn't believe people really get taken in by it, but then I was taken in by someone before so I readily apply critical thinking to anything I read.
I don't go for loopy conspiracy theories that hang together on whacked out of shape and distorted realities.
By the way Dan Burstein is not a scholar, if you want the truth, why not go straight to books that have the facts written by real scholars?
