Thanks for the poignant writing. I would like to offer a ray of HOPE though. I know how devastating addiction to Methamphetamines is from working with Meth users and I have to say that though it is hard, there are many stories of people I personally know who bottomed out real bad due to their use of this drug but did get clean and do have productive lives today.

Some got clean in stages, going back to the drug a number of times, getting worse each time and then finally quitting. Some do not make it.

Many of them have horrifying histories of child abuse and other forms of abuses they suffered. I think this is important to say because even though some losses cannot be repaired (like burn damage from Meth lab explosions or pipe explosions or physical ailments that aren't reversible such as HIV, loss of teeth, loss of optimum level of health in rehab) life can and does go on and have meaning and holds hope for the most ravaged survivors of this addiction.

It is a hard habit to break but NOT IMPOSSIBLE. I am sure we all have hopes for those struggling with crippling addictions.
