Now you're quoting Maya Angelou, a U.S. national Poet Laureate? Just look at what higher education does to a country boy!
I once went to hear Maya Angelou give a talk on various & sundry things at the university. She's a great story-teller with a wonderful spoken voice. She told a very funny story about "one of the three African-Americans in the United States who doesn't believe in God." I still chuckle when I think about that line. I work with an African American woman who claims to be atheist, and I asked her if she knows Maya. She laughted at that, and said, "No, don't know her. Now that we've identified two of the three of us, wonder where the third African American atheist is hiding out?"
