Is it so hard to understand for cultsurvivors, SGAs or whatever name fitting (plus all those FGAs, who might have forgotten or never joined for that reason - Jesus ) that to be in contact with HIM, who overcame death through the power of God, the father, which was/is in HIM, is so overwhelming, delighting, uplifting, that you just happen to be on cloud nine...all that being supported & enlarged by being together with those, who happen to believe the same.
It just takes a quick look at the verdict about
the 7 different early churches at the beginning of Revelation, to find, that many early Christians swayed from the straight & narrow path, nothing new under the sun.
Sad to say, we coasted along too long, thinking, the "bands (bandits) of David" were actually equivalent to Philadelphia...pride comes before
the fall...further look at the middleages & what
happened to the Catholic church...I mean it fills
volumes, the evils, which have been done in the name of Christ.
However, I claim, that there were always sincere believers...it's a bit like the story of the loaf of bread, thanking for it, even if the devil did bring it...I thank God, for having found faith in Jesus, even if it was a bad "church"/group (take a pick of those 7 in Revelation, as has been already outlined here and elsewhere) or one who developed from bad to worse.
And honestly, there seem to be very few churches today too, who uphold a pretty high standard, not being hypocrites or going off into the very weird or being superficial, far too worldly.
