So y'all would know a little about where I'm coming from:
I was born a Jew, by my dad and a Jewish gypsie lady, who I met when I was 24. In the mean time, he'd married a Lutheran lady(Pastor's kid), and that's the way we were raised. At 14 I knew that there was some type of pull on me toward God. As a Lutheran, very confusing. I went one half of one semester at Concordia Seminary, before they kicked me out! Then I spent 3 yrs. for Uncle Sam, and not long after getting out I was taken to the family at the ranch in Tex. I was so freaking out to find answers to even the simple questions. And then at the ranch the LOrd broke my hard heart so much and filled me with His Spirit, I was filled with more than answers. Such a sheep. After a couple mos. there, some of us went to New Orleans, where Silas & Sharon were heading up a colony. They really loved me so much, and that whole family was so filled with the Love of God! Then mid-'72, a lot of us left the country. I ended up in Amsterdam. Benjamin & Miriam were heading that colony. They had a baby there. But by mid '73, I seemed like in a rut and the colony there was more like an organization than a family to me . One night I had a dream that Jesus came into that colony, physically, and started kicking people out! And laughing and telling us all to get out . So I left and spent another year and a half hich-hicking Europe and out to India and back. After some time in India I knew without a doubt that the Lord wanted me back in North Am. So I ended up in the FL, Keys, and by the total Grace of God, right when I got there I was given the gift of basket weaving coconut palms into hats and baskets. So for 22 yrs. that's what I did. That particular County is FL. is unique, in that nobody is from there. And it's also the land of the pirates, and always will be! But what a witnessing field!! I've never seen such a concentration of black sheep in my life, anywhere even close to what Monroe Co., FL. has. But a terrible place to raise kids, and by now I made good money. So my wife & 3 kids moved to Wisc. where she is from. She really didn't have the energy/desire to home school the kids anymore, especially in that environ. And always, everywhere, impossible to find even a more or less realistic"Church"/group of believers. Now I work in a weld shop. We've been here working 8 yrs., and I'm on my sixth job. If I can keep a job even a whole year, my wife is amazed! It's so wierd here, doing this, and I know I'll never (Hope to God) get used to it. And yet wherever you are right now, especially in North Am., if you look aroung you, EVERYTHING is made in some sort of factory! There must be giilions of people who still work thiry yrs., every day in a factory. God Almighty!! How un-natural, and unrewarding!! I mean, what a crime against God and Nature! And so, meeting these people, the "Salt of the Earth", so to speek, there is a lot of spiritual sharing that can be done--Big Time!
I'm so glad I found this web site. I've never been on the computer so much! Soon I'll learn how to e-mail an attachment.
Thanx again, mark
