I doubted him. Still do. Not necessarily whether or not he is a current Family member though it is questionable to me, but he continues to evade answers to direct questions, questions which are not "shark" attacks but reasonable for someone to ask.
When JS comes on line and says the Family has changed its tune and is safe for children, while AT THE SAME TIME TWO people who left very recently are posting something very different,one who left only a few months ago, it stands to REASON that it is not "crippled" or "scarred" minds that question whether JS has an agenda or not. It is a reasonable response to question.
Not only that, but I tend to believe the reports of SG's that left and appeared on Montel, for instance, those who clarified that abuses did indeed occur into the nineties. Not just to that one person. Sure, overtly the family has put restrictions on sexual doctrines AND forbidden acts but they are not protecting children when it comes to what they do when someone "breaks the rules".
It was legitimate to ask whether JS had read Maria's Summit Jewels or not, the one pertinent to how Maria wants to be sure people understand that what Berg did was not WRONG, but certain things needed to change for survivals sake. She even risked to say there was nothing wrong with a little fondling. I'd have to look it up to quote it but it makes me too sick.
When this was mentioned in another post, JS turned it around and acted as if it was the poster who advocated that. It was a weird way to answer something clearly stated while avoiding a REASONABLE question.
Lydia, you have a right to your own opinion. Mine is that I think there is a good chance you are being played like a fiddle right now.
