I know after reading different books about people's experience in communist regimes, I was struck by the similiarities between their techniques to gain unthinking willingness and the Cogs. (ie Wild Swans, and Gulag Archipelago )
I tend to shy away from conspiracy theories, but the fact that our warfare is not just on a physcial plane is the truth.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
That a spiritual power empowers evil men in the same type of controls should come as no surprise.
