It's very interesting, getting the true meaning of scripture, or my exact the devine intent of the author. The class I am taking now is Biblical Hermeneutics, which deals with reading, interpreting, and applying scripture. The most important element of this is context. A good example of this is Rev. 3:20, Jesus standing at the door. In TF and in other evangelical circles this is always used as an invitation to for people who don't know Christ to open the door and let Him in. Put in context, this scripture is speaking to disobedient believers, that Christ is standing at the door for them. The course has been very interesting personally for me as in TF almost all scripture was taken out of context. I'm learning to read the Bible all over again, it's really cool!
