To Thinker - Apology

To Thinker, I am making an apology for my harsh way of responding to your postings. I tend to forget sometimes to treat others in same manner that I would have them treat me. I have lived an extremely rough life and my old street fighting ways, tend at times to get carried over into my conversations. I admit that my behavior in that respect is not spiritual and that it goes up against my own aspirations to live at peace with all men. The truth is I respect free thinkers because such were partly responsible for breaking the world out of the dark ages where a man could be put to death as a heretic for simply disagreeing with some religious ruler. Marten Luther's closest allies were men who used their reason to bust out of the psychological religious strangleholds that back then had almost enveloped the entire world. Unfortunately Marten Luther then fell into the same errors by attempting to spread the gospel by the use of force. There were men of independent thought (not necessary Christians either) who stood up against his folly and paid for it with their lives. I shouldn't assume however that others know how I much I appreciate those who seek to be liberated from the threat of tyranny regardless of how it may manifest itself. In that regard we are allies even when we hold different views on other subjects. Perhaps we should try and forge a peaceful relationship using those common concerns. Brothers can fight it out with each other and yet still be there to help each other. I know, I have four brothers, and it is just like cats and dogs sometimes, but we always end up sorry for drifting apart just because our egos got in the way. In closing, I apologize again for being such an ass and hope that you will not let our disagreement stand between us.
Humbling myself does not come easy, but if I don't, I know Someone who will and I don't like to mess with Him. I hope you will resume contributing to this board and I promise to stay off your case. The rest of you, that no doubt were enjoying this, however; are another matter:)
