Last I checked, an atheist is one who denies the existence of God or gods.

I don't know you or who you are, but from the way you write, you give the impression that you are someone who traded the evangelizing of one belief set (ie, "[it claims] that it is to be considered THE system epistemologically encompassing all reality") for another, ("It's about a real relationship with a real Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and the Father, through Him".)

There are some people (such as myself) who are essentially happy to deny the existence of God or gods without having to cram that belief set down someone else's throat or claim that my way of seeing it is better than yours (even if I do think Christianity is a bunch of hogwash).

You say, "It [atheism] can easily be refuted philosophically, scientifically/evidentially, and experientially." If this is the case, then religion (take your pick on whatever one) would be a knowlege, something known in the way that humanity knows the earth is round -- because it can be proven. There would be no faith.

As it is, it is pointless to argue or debate such things unless you do it for the sheer enjoyment of the exercise, because if there was any way to "prove" the existance or non-existance of God or gods one way or the other, this would now be a moot discusion.

Last I checked, however, if you are going to claim that God exists, the burden of proof lies with you.

Good luck with that.
