Hi Fred: tough questions and I have had many of them myself. I believe God made the whole kit and cabootle. I am not sure about the almighty's ego or how that end works. I figure anyone who can put together what dimensional plane we are living on and knows everything about reality all at once is probably ok to be having those beasts saying good things about him, particularly if it is what they like to do.

Over the years I have come to the conclusion that what Jesus said and did pretty much covers it all. For me, any church values, new improved methods and handy, dandy self-help lets make some dough for God books have to fit with what Jesus said or I just pass on the free puppy. Like a road map or that bit on Sesame(sp?) street '... some of these things go together and some of them don't belong'. The bummer is that I think it still boils down to individual faith in the end. I admit from time to time I have been looking for a shortcut around that section due to the last time I bought a broklyn bridge on spec. I get quite pissed off at times about this area 'cause I just want a little peek behind the curtain to catch a glimpse of the big now, you know, just a tiny taste to keep me going when I get winded from all the crap going on down here. It is kind of funny that the simple and direct words of Jesus in the gospels cover so clearly what preacher, teacher windbags have spend millions of hours and billions of other peoples sweat money trying to explain. To me it has always been the words of Jesus that have kept me from chucking the whole thing away and hugging a big shiney train goodnight. I don't know if I even came close to answering your questions but I hope I made some contribution.

IMO I suppose God really did make the light and the dark. It scares me to think of having to meet such a being as the almighty creator. I sure have known some darkness in my journey. The Gospels say Jesus was the word of God made flesh and that the rain falls on the just and the unjust. Sometimes the rain just stops and the Sun comes out and everyone breathes a collective sigh of relief. Kind of like I hope Jesus really is. I really hope that is how it is for all of us someday. Especially the hurt and the dead among us who were tricked out in life by the family cult.

Best Day:

Angel sun streams
throw bright weight
past the falling dark

In this instant
grace can show
light never dies

Sincerely

Rocky
