I was reading the posts below on out of body experiences with interest. I had someone die while I was holding them and it felt like this: As soon as the breath stopped and then the heart stopped beating the body was instantly different. Like a piece of driftwood, inanimate.
I know that dreams sometimes are just rehashing the days thoughts or something that was brought up in the day or something on a person's mind but I also know that people can on occasion, maybe even just one or two times, travel in their sleep. When you think about how this could happen, breathing is controlled by the primitive part of the brain. The part that just you breathing when you aren't awake but not where your thoughts are active or anything.
I think of "spirit" like electricity separate from that part of the brain or body. It's the activator. Like electricity.
No one knows what electricity is, just how it works and how to use it in our perhaps limited capacity at harnessing it.
I don't think it is "evil" or bad or demons or anything of the sort that some people have an out of body experience.
I would be very interested in hearing your experience, Observer.
By the way, the friend that died I really believe that her spirit was around for a few days because of uncanny things that happened.
It's why I believe there is something more to life than just an accidental period of existence and also it is why I believe that all living creatures have a "spirit".
