I believe she was there for you. I had a similar experience with different details. Unless you experience it, it's hard to explain and I would never try to convince others that haven't had such an experience. I don't see it as phantom pain sort of thing (just my opinion and said in respect that someone else thinks differently at this point in their life.)because there were just too many things that happened. But only for about a week or two.
I am glad you had such a great relationship with your grandmother. I never learned about "kinetic firings" as I never had the opportunity to attend college. Can you write some about it? Sounds very interesting.
