I wasn't really talking about your other conversations but your one statement:
"Islam is a religion and not all of it's followers are fanatical and dangerous any more than all of Christianity's followers are."
IMO - you are equating the two as the same - that the violence we are witnessing today with fanatical Muslims around the world as equal to the random acts of what was it - 2, 3 individuals? - who bombed clinics and killed doctors and we don't even know if it was Christian oriented. I believe I only heard one person state that he did it for God - if memory serves me right. As far as I know, it's past history as well as I haven't even heard of any of that in the last 5 years or so. This is what I was referring to. All the rest of what you wrote is neither here nor there, but I'm glad that you and Susie enjoyed it.
I don't understand why you claim my disagreement with you as verbal beheading. That in and of itself is pretty inflammatory, IMO. I only saw it as a disagreement. Does this mean that anyone who disagrees with you will be accused in like manner? Gee, seems kind of touchy to me.
BTW - I wonder if you have read Richard Berman's book - Terror and Liberalism? He quoted quite a bit from such Inmans as Qtub who wrote Under the Shade of the Koran, etc. I found a lot more information about such Muslim faiths as The Brotherhood of Islam, Wahhabism, etc. Not quite the pretty picture you paint. But, that's another subject entirely.
Of course, please don't take this out of context and infer that I'm stating there aren't such things as peaceful Muslims - I certainly know there are, having lived in a Muslim country for several years and lived with a Muslim family as well. I think I have an understanding of what is going on maybe more than you realize.
