Zither, there exist both a genuine, Quran-based Islam, and a sort of "PR-Islam Light".
Like Berg and his Mo' Letters, of which there are versions for "private disciples", and GP stuff for the unsuspecting public, there is a great deal of difference in Islamic apologists claiming what you related, and what the Quran ACTUALLY states.
Just like TF members, who would be out of a job and without skills for any other "profession", "Islam Light" Imams, and their administrative staffs, could not survive in the real world, and to teach what the Quran ACTUALLY says, would put them out on the street, in certain parts of the world. As they grow, however, they tend to become bolder, and gravitate toward the violence actually taught in their "holy book". Those who don't actually kill for their faith, as the Quran DOES direct them to, are expected to conform the "Pillars", and that is where the money comes from.
Simply "follow the money"; just like in TF.
The "100% discples" of Islam, to borrow a TF term, are promised what Berg promised his followers.
Berg just went Mohammed one better; he promised his own version of Mohammed's "wine, women and song" ON EARTH, as well as in Berg's version of heaven.
Mohammed promised Jihadists they would rule in heaven and every ONE of their earthly lusts would be pleasured there. Kind of like the 6th Century version of "the sex, drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll" thing Berg played on with the hippies of his elite leadership--same old religious crap to put a man in power. Appeal to the basest lusts in people, and teach them that by following you they'll have superiority over others, and you an become rich and powerful.
Mohammed did. So did Berg.
Oh, yeah--Mohammed "married" pre-pubescent little girls, AND HAD SEX WITH THEM. So, BOTH false prophets were PEDOPHILES!

The Quran is divided into sections called "suras". Suras 5, 9, and 11 very clearly state that Muslims are to deceive Jews and Christians ("deceivers yet true" doctrine), and to pretend they are "on the same side" ("Godaffi" letters, etc.), but that, when power shifts, and Muslims are able to do so, then the Jews and Christians are to either convert immediately to Islam by force, or be killed, as soon as the Muslims are able to kill them as "infidels". Read those 3 suras; please.
Sorry, Zither. Someone's conned you, and only given you the "Islam Light" to consider. You forgot "Jihad" in its original significance(and current, since that is what Imams USE to get their followers to kill for their religionwhenever they are able to expediently do so) is that it is a bloody path of NOTHING but violence.

The scraps of what became the Quran were writen by what occultists call "automatic writing", and are purely demonic, and come from an ancient moon-worshipping cult--"no new thing under the sun". There are some supernatural elements to it, as its followers will claim--but, the source is demons, not God.
They claim that "God's (or "Allah's") people sort of "took a left turn" at Ishmael, and although they claim that Jesus was a prophet, and that Mohammed is the last in the succession of ALL God's prophets, ALL of the prophets testified about Jesus (and "the testimony of JESUS is the spirit of prophecy", not Mohammed), and NONE of them prophesied about Mohammed, except, in a way, Moses, when he said that God WOULD ALLOW false prophets to come along to test the heart of the Jews, to see if they still follwed after Him.
ALL of the prophets DID testify and prophecy about Jesus. On the road to Emmaus, where Jesus appeared to two disciples, it said that "their minds were held that they might not know Him", while he took them through ALL the OT, pointing out this fact--there are over 300 OT prophecies about Jesus (and NONE about Mohammed, like I said). In other words, what Jesus Christ considered the most important thing for these two followers of His was NOT his Person, but what his Word already had said faithfully, over the centuries--THAT'S what He wanted them to focus on; Old Testament prophecies. THAT'S what Satan actually attacks throught the Quran, as well as the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads, and other religious writings, and they are ALL VASTLY different from the Bible; God's library, or compendium, written over 1500 years by over 40 authors, ALL saying the same thing about God's Messiah.
Islam is just another fantasy religious trip, invented by one man assistd by demons, and its sole purpose at the time was to give that one man absolute power over others, including a "deceiver yet true" doctrine, violence, destruction of families by jihadists (see the Berg-like similarities here?)who not only killed others for their religion, but have been happy through the ages to get themselves killed, all for a false pedophilic prophet; LIKE MO'!

They claim that Jesus will return as a man, but will die again, and be buried on earth.
There is absolutely no compatibility between the Quran and the Bible, and ESPECIALLY no agreement between truly Bible-based Christianity and truly Quran-based Islam. Like I said, someone lied to you, or you haven't read close enough to the sources.
The political powers behind the Crusades were just that; political. Both the Muslims of that era and the Crusaders were bloody and cruel. Christians never even joined a police force until aroung 400 AD; Jesus said, "If My servants were of this world, THEN they would fight [in war]".
It's kind of like finally abandoning the Mo'Letters, and Maria "missives"; they are designed to "deceive the hearts of the simple". The Quran is the SAME THING; actually reading it will prove what I'm trying to tell you.
