I don't know why, but when I listen to talk radio, or read online columns, I am seeing a lot of backing going on for polygamy. I'm not sure, but I'm thinking that with the gay community pushing for the laws of marriage to be changed, they are following on that bandwagon and hoping to add their agenda to it.
My question is - someone pointed out that nowhere in the bible was there any reference to God being against polygamy. In fact, the opposite is shown with so many prophets and people in the bible having more than one wife. In fact, I do believe it was a Hebrew custom in those days - am I correct?
However, I thought that Paul was very specific when he stated that every man should have his own wife. anyone recall that verse? Does anyone have any other verses that would show that?
