Reasons for posting

Something happend today which reminded me of why I consider posting at exer sites, like this one, important: I ran into a current member of The Family International today.

My older sister lives in Katy, Texas, where I visited today, following a major surgery a week ago. We had a meal, saw a movie, and had a coffee, at the Katy Mills Mall. While she was resting on a bench, I walked over to the Books a Million store--I have been interested in a Stephen King series I wanted to check out.

The last time I was at the same store, a couple of months ago, I saw a young fellow in front of its entrancce selling hand-twisted balloons, and in clown makeup with a huge blue hat. That time, I had asked him, "Aren't you a member of the Children of God/Family of Love cult?".

He asnwered emphatically that he had left the cult, and was just selling balloons. I told him I had talked to a young lady sometime last year, doing the same thing at the same spot he now occupied. He said, "Oh, no. we're completely different, now!"

I said, "OK. Please tell Stephen that "OT2, the "Karate guy"" said hello! If he's been reading the webpage, he'll know who I mean!". He said he would. He forgot that today.

Today, I walked past him and found the store manager, and asked him of he knew who this young fellow dressed as a clown represented.

He said, "Oh, yeah, some Christian group". I asked, "Do you know that there are several front organizations for a 30+-year-old sex cult called the Children of God years ago, who are now called The Fmily International, and that guy is a current member?"

He said that he did not know that, so I told him how to find Exfamily.org and MovingOn.org on the Web, since he initially had a hard time believing that this young wholesome fellow could belong to anything sounding so wrong.

I told him that the group had great fron name organizations and highly trained PR people, but became so degenerate over the years that not only did they senf their harder-to-manage youths to something like a concentration camp where they were literally tortured and brainwashed, but that their sex sin was so bad that they were known, by the writings of their own former leader, now dead, as well as those their current leader, his survivng polygamous/polyandrous "wife", that they not only sent full-grown women out as prostitutes, religious ones seeking new members, they also officially taught and endorsed molestation, rape, and literally "anything goes" with even 18-month-old infants, 4-5 year-olds, preteens, teens and literally children at almost any age, and that the cults writings were already on the web to prove it was so.

He was amazed. I left him with his mouth literally agape.

I left to talk to the young clown again, and told him that the manager of the store now had full knowledge of the cults teachings, in a nutshell, and now knew how to go to ExFamily.org and MovingOn.org to check it out. He looked a little stunned.

He said "Oh, no; I tried to tell you last time! I am an "exer", too", and moved to take my hand and shake it. I shook his hand.

I said "So, you really left the Children of God Cult"? He said he had. I said "But you're called TFI, or The Family International, now, right?"

He said "Well, yes, but we're out of the Children of God cult!"

I asked "But you still follow ALL of the teachings of your false prophet David Berg, and now his heir to the cult, Maria; right?"

He said, "Not necessarily" I asked "But you have a special doctrine called "Deceivers Yet True", and anyone who finds that out, that you literally lie to the public and train even your smaller children to do so because you don't want the general public to really know your real doctrines, people find that they cannot really trust a single thing you say to them about your doctrines and practices, don't they?"

He stammmered a few seconds, and seemed unable to answer. I said "The Bible is based on writings that still exist. So are Berg's and Maria's stuff--it's undeniable. Your doctrines are all on the web. Have you had the courage to go to the exer pages and read there what everybody else can, who's interested? Did you know there are hundreds of people like you born into TFI, who have stated, based on those writings, and the way the were ALL treated, why they left the cult?"

He said "At least I'm not trying to destroy somebody else's religion!" I said "All religions will eventually come to an end--only a real relationship with the real Jesus, not Berg's perverted invention, will last. Son, I pray that one day you'll begin to think for yourself."

He said "But I left the Children of God, and I have kids of my own, and they go to public school." I said, Yeah, I know. I read all about you on Heartclub.com. I also know Stephen took all the pages down at that website that showed the names of pastors and addresses of churches he was conning for their money, because people lke me here in Houston started posting about ratting Stephen out to his easily-conned financial supporters!

You've heard of Faithy, I know you know Adriana and Mother Eve, and Sarah Davidito and a whole lot of current and former leaders live here in Houston, as well!"

He said "Yeah, I know some of them, too." I said "Good. You're finally starting to be honest. By the way, I was in Provisioning and PR in Mexico in the cult years ago--I knw all the doctrines, and all the lines my self, since I used to use them."

"Son, one day you'll get tired of lying and essentially stealing in Jesus' name, want to start actually supporting your own children with a real self-respecting job, and like I said, actually start thinking for yourself. Then your life can begin. Mine did when I decided to leave and trust the real Jesus. So long."

Anyone else here ever get out that way to Books a Million at the Katy Mills Mall? He never did give me his name. I hope to speak to him again, one day.

I think alerting stroes adn other businesses is a good idea, even with the threat of going to their higher managers, calling chirches and asking for boycotts, etc.

Any other constructive ideas out there about about some actual activism?
