Exer:
Were you having a beer or five when you wrote that 1st sentence? Geez: "you can't just don't get the real point"? Really? And that's a feeling you "always" get? And you have a suggestion for me from your lofty little perch?
Why would I be interested in your suggestion?
I related the salient points of the first conversation I had with him, not the entire conversation, during which I did just talk in a general way as you suggested that I did not--what have you done lately for those still in; Hmmm?
Mostly, I observed that, during our first conversation, he was just bored out of his skull. I wasn't mean to him.
I mentioneed the "Karate Guy" thing as a joke Stephen would understand, because Stephen had obviously been reading here, I'd poked fun at him here about stories about him kicking in doors while in TFI in Europe, and thinking he was a real "bad-ass (I actually am), and knew the jig was just about up, with the churches he, Adria, and his little Berg-bot tots were fooling for money, which they tithe to WS. Duh! You REALLY didn't know that?
No one else had a problem with my story--why do you? Are you "addled"; as they say here in Texas?
Are you telling me you actually know NOTHING about how TFI members operate in this country?
Really? The info is even on this website--tried looking it up, yet?
Oh, yeah--Stephen pulled his so-called "Grandma Letters" (whicH I also have copies of) off his website, which were plagiarized and slightly revamped Mo Letters, with excerpts given slightly different names--she even named "David, [her] husband" in one of them.
Pure TFI crap--plagiarism and misrepresentation; "for filthy lucre's sake".
Duh.
You do know the history of Stephen David taking Mother Eve as a MUCH OLDER wife (along with Adria, the mother of hs children), coming back to the States, being here in Houston along with people like Faithy, Sarah, and so on, while he conned local churches about his real beliefs, pimped out his kids for pay like they were all REAL missionaries, etc?
No?
And you're insinuating that I am the one who is out-of-touch"? Tsk.
You did know he started reading here, and people started fussing about his cons here in Houston (not just me), and he removed nearly ALL of his old newsletters naming the churches he was ripping off, as well as the "Grandma Letters"?
By the way, all the old pages he deleted from Heartclub.com are still archived, and I have copies--I probably should go ahead and contact those churches, when I can. It does take some work, and some people don't like admitting they've been conned. We'll see--I'll feel my way along. I don't really need your help; thanks anyway.
I actually have a rich and meaningful life and stay pretty busy. I'm looking into becoming a teacher at this point. What are you doing with your life, since you seem to think your such an arbiter of the lives of other people you don't know?
I wouldn't worry too much about my supposedly "beating my chest", and so forth--since you are so concerned about my "version of the "truth" as to the family", I am a little concerned that you are still in TFI, and probably beating something else regularly, just like Maria told you to.
I guess you don't keep up with the boards as much as you imagine that you do--?
As for your silly comment that "after you can't post anymore at another site, I don't expect you to take any notice of this post either"--I don't know what to tell you. Your post I can't even classify as dumb; this is the best response I can make.
Do you live in Houston? Would you like the opportunity to meet me and insult me personally? Want to meet me at my dojo? I'll go easy on you--first lesson's free. "Exer" is a guy; right?
Or, I had this thought that you just might be the sister of the yong man at the mall (?). Are you a femme? IS that the reason for the "big boy" comment? I can tell you I have a satisfied wife; if that's what you're hinting at.
Either way--don't take that wrong--I didn't even go see "Brokeback Mountain". You have to admit, though--TFI "men" are pretty woosy guys.
Let me guess--"give that a go" is a Brit or an Aussie phrase--it sure ain't American. maybe you know next to nothing about my culture, as well as zip about Stephen and his little dishones religious retinue?
At NDN, I told David C I was feeling that Open House/NDN was currently toxic for me, that they were a little heavy-handed in some instances, almost like "Colony Shepherds" themselves at times, and that my only really strong objection was that Joel was allowed to "quote and promote" Berg without apparent end, and that that probably was a bad thing for some suicide-prone new exers to have to read, especially SGAs, and that several WAY TOO REGULAR posters were getting a little in-bred in their cliquishness.
Way too weird after a while, so it was mutual. Why are you so interested? I think it's rather boring.
By the way, I had a real doozy of a disagreement with this board and got "banned" for a while here, too--along with Acheick--in fact, I was defending her at the time, and the coordinator here got steamed.
Same thing--I do tend to stand up for others when I think I should; don't you?
Since I left TF in '74, I've also been standing up for myself for quite a while, have done REAL street ministry, campus ministry, translation ministry, healing prayer ministry, and so on, for YEARS, personally led HUNDREDS of people to Christ post-TF, got a real education with a real degree and am getting a Masters soon, raised three kids, got back into martial arts for health reasons, and so on, and so on.
I don't find your post even very interesting; just kind of childish, actually.
In other words, I have a rich life outside of posting here. When that's all people do, I have observed, about all they have for what I tried to do the other day is criticism--doesn't suprise me--it seems a little inbred; though, kind of like NDN got, for me.
I do have a number for Heartclub.com. I haven't called it yet. If I feel actually led to do so, I might, but I already get the feeling that it'll be screened at this point. Don't you; genius?
Cheers, mate (that's a NON-sexual "mate")!
