I'll look it up and read up. I know how hard it is -as much as a person can who has friends going through or who have gone through treament for Hep C- to endure the long term treatment. Every person I know who went through it had side effects that were bad but stuck with it knowing the results. Did you take the Interferon shots?
Good for you. Hep C is something it would be good for ex-family members to be tested for and most don't know that a routine physical won't look for it. There are specific blood tests that can be done and since it can be sexually transmitted it's a good thing to ask a doctor to test you for.
I tested negative but I did ask for that test.
Testing for HIV is important too as a person can remain asymptomatic for years or even decades. The earlier treatment is started the better quality and length of life.
