A friend of mine cited the evidence for the Big Bang as the main reason that he did not believe that earth was created only 6,000 some years ago. He's a Christian who doesn't believe in 'Young Earth Creationism' (ie. only a few thousand years old) but believes in 'Old Earth Creationism,' that the earth & universe is as old as many scientists say that it is, but was nevertheless created by God.
