She is trying to bring Islam into the modern day world much as Christianity and other religions have. The above poster stated certain atrocities that happened, (even though she misspoke that slavery was a Christian invention - or aluded to that - when it is anything of the sort. In fact, it was Christians who back in the civil war made the claim that it was an inhuman practice and everyone had the right to be free. The slaver we experienced in the U.S. came from Africa. They didn't come here and be slaves, they came as slaves after being enslaved by their very own people. Our sin was in keeping up with the atrocity. In fact, there are Muslim nations who still practice slavery today and still believe in it.) but these atrocities through public pressure, self-criticism, etc., have been rectified for the most part.

Take Mormons for example - definitely a cult and whom many Christians do not believe to be a bona fide Christian church. They practiced polygamy and considered blacks to be sub human and wouldn't allow them into their sect. Because of public pressure, they corrected these inusticies in their religion to a point and came out proclaiming that God has now rescinded this edict of blacks being inferior and polygamy being a right. Even though they can't admit it was a mistake but rather look at it as God speaking to them, that's fine, at least they made the change for the better.

I think what this woman did by proclaiming the injustices in Islam specifically was necessary, otherwise, how can it be changed? I give her a lot of credit for it.
