On broccoli and freedom

Here's a typical batch of veggies I use to make 16 oz of juice: Red cabbage, kale, broccoli, chard, parsley, large carrot, two celery sticks and an apple. I'll add more to the mix as they come in season. If sugar intake isn't a problem for you, just throw in more carrots, which are very sweet, or another apple.

I have no argument with the idea that predominately Muslim countries (few are 100% Muslim) should move into the 21st century. However, as I've pointed out in other posts, western democracies are only a very short time removed from when those freedoms you mention were denied to large parts of their populations. I just think it becomes too convenient during war time to demonize the enemy while forgetting our own shortcomings, and all the injustices and long struggles it took (and continues to take) to get the freedoms we now take for granted as if they have always existed.
