What is the broad definition of a Christian? When scripture itself declares that NARROW is the way that leads to eternal life, and Broad is the way that leads to destruction. I've been told on these boards numerous times that Iam narrow minded. I plead guilty. When I think about acts of Christians I think about missinaries I am aquained with that are purchasing land in Africa and using and teaching modern agricultural methods, to benefit the indigenous people of these lands. At the same time the same mission's organization is diging wells in the same areas to give people a better quality of life. I revel at the statement that with each well that is dug a mosque close down. I revel atthe fact that where there was darkness and despair there is light and hope. No, these are not horrors that are being done in the name of Christ, but obedience to what Christ called his people to do. I look for Islamic organizations doing similar acts, I look for atheist organizations doing similar acts of sacrafice for the good of mankind, but I am unable to see any. If there are such works being done by others I would like to know about them.
