I've been making this argument for years. There certainly IS more than one theory of Intelligent Design. I always subscribed to the theory that life arose on earth when a passing spaceship from Lod Gord dumped its bilge waste into the ocean...
However, I find the Flying Spaghetti Monster theory much more convincing, so I'm going to become a pastafarian.
Actually, there are some very interesting theories in particle physics that suggest the existence of an intelligent designer...problem is, it/he/she doesn't look anything like the Flying Spaghetti Monster OR Lod Gordians OR the Judeo-Christian Father-God.
