Yes, I agree with almost all your statements, CB. Also, the quote from the actual article that best exemplifies my thots is this one: A person of faith would say that this study is interesting. All in all a very interesting study & article.
Also, one of the potential flaws in the study was that when they picked 3 congregations to pray for the sick, they never specified whether those congregations actually believed in God answering prayer, or specifically believed in prayer for healing. A lot of people pray because 'it's the thing to do.'
It would be interesting when picking focus groups like that to say, 'Such-&-such' group claims they have often received answers to prayer.'
