Hello, Moonshiner!
Wow--that was a pretty long quote!
Here's a shorter one, and then some URLs to check out, on the "non-provocative subject"! ;-)
I just want to preface what I'm noting here with saying that my heart, as I read the Gospel accounts of how the early dicsciples' faith utterly failed them, after the Crucifixion, really goes out to them.
Why? Because my own faith was nearly destroyed at the betrayal of the truth about the real Jesus by TF, because of accepting Berg's filthy teachings.
Because of that, and because of my own TF and pot-TF experiences, my heart also always goes out to other Exers whose faith has so far failed them, and caused them to blame a "baby out with the bathwater" experience of a sub-Christian cult (of which there are literally THOUSANDS, toady, alone; never mind historically!) and to distrust anything remotely similar. Because of my own journey, I do understand completely.
I recovered experientially, because the real Jesus, the real Father and the real Holy Spirit made their presence known to me again, on a regularbasis, even as I raged against what "God had allowed". Now, I have a satisfied heart.
My faith is not BASED on the Resurrection; itself, but on the experiential relationship (and NOT any kind of "religion") I've had with the real Jesus over 31+ years, post-TF. But its evidences are completely compelling; I have found.
I researched the subject of the Resurrection--so did a lot of angry skeptics who wanted to disprove Christianity, and who subsequently accepted the truth of the Scriptures about Christ, and became Christians themselves.
I also took a long hard look at other intellectual considerations, including ALL the objections to Christianity I could find. Now, I also have a satisfied mind.
And, BEFORE TF, I had already rejected Eastern Religions as demonically empowered--I was not a Christian, yet, but the spirits I was in contact were unquestionably evil (that's another story!) That later helped me reject Berg's ventures into spiritism.
I just welcome other readers and posters to consider my story, plus the evidence for the Resurrection.
Anyway, here goes:
-------------------------------------------------Here’s the excerpt:
"Just in time for the Easter season, here comes the latest attack on the resurrection of Christ. Michael Baigent, who denies the deity and the resurrection of Jesus but of course still says he "operates within a Christian framework" and is "deeply spiritual," has written a new book promoting heresy that will be discussed this Sunday evening on Dateline NBC."
"Mr. Baigent thinks his heretical views are superior to Dan Brown's heretical views."
"An interview with Michael Baigent done on the Today Show March 28 can be seen here. The Catholic priest who was responding to Baigent did a good job in pointing out several flaws in Baigent's arguments:

(excerpt continued):
"April 2, Sunday, 7 p.m."
"In a multi-part report, Sara James interviews controversial author Michael Baigent about his new book, "The Jesus Papers." Previously, Baigent has captured readers' imaginations with his provocative non-fiction work "Holy Blood, Holy Grail," in which he claimed Jesus was married. Now, while in the middle of a highly-publicized lawsuit with the publishers of "The Da Vinci Code" for copyright infringement, Baigent has an even more controversial premise that challenges much of what we know about Jesus: What if Jesus survived the crucifixion? "
"DATELINE SUNDAY"
"It started with a provocative— and many say preposterous—claim that Jesus was married. Now get ready for a new theory: Michael Baigent, author of “Holy Blood, Holy Grail,” alleges that Jesus may not have died on the cross. And there’s more: he says, there are actual letters written by Jesus himself. Dateline’s Sara James tracks down the facts behind 'The Jesus Papers.' "
