"...everything is political, so a complete ban on everything political isn't feasible."
So true! Sometimes I've stumbled into a partisan debate purely by accident, primarily because "everything is political." I have a huge personal interest in sociology, which I like to post on, but sometimes others identify the topic as political and partisan. Poverty is a good example of what I mean.
I have trouble seeing Christian nationalism as a mass movement. Mostly I see it as a populist movement that gets a great deal more media attention than it warrants. Maybe I'm in denial about the danger that these people pose. The yearning to live out of a totalitarian worldview seems endemic to human nature. But the same can be said about the yearning to throw off tyranny.
Are you familiar with The Handmaid's Tale? It was originally a book by Margaret Atwood, then it became a movie with Robert Duvall and Faye Dunaway. You might enjoy reading it or seeing the movie.
What does ITMFA mean?
