You're absolutely right A, it all boils down to that. All the stop-and-pray practise with matching guilt trips when you don't were designed to keep us subjugated to their will. We had to be convinced consciously and subconsciously that we were powerless without them. That divine scriptures were used was the key to their control, without that THEY were powerless. It's the exact opposite of becoming the best of yourself which comes from empowerment. If I were to simmer down the fam's modus operandi in one word it would be disempowerment.
