Ha! You really think most Americans today know how the early chinese immigrants were treated? Who know anything about history anymore? The USA is living in a lala land of soundbites and media hype. The only chinese history most people know about today is that Wal Mart started importing most of their goods from China a few years ago and that Jackie Chan is one hellavu guy doing all his own stunts. Ancient Chinese history goes back to Bruce Lee and Enter the Dragon and that cool fight with Chuck Norris in the collesium? Oh yeah, don't forget reruns of Kung Fu for REAL chinese history. This IS the american "mind" today and it doesn't know much more than that.
