I agree. I only pray when I want to pray for others. I pray for the well being of my children. I pray for peace in the world. I don't pray like I used to. I don't expect anything from God. He gave us life and we have to live it the best we can, otherwise, we have no life of our own and then it's not the gift of life. It was really a liberation to realize I could rely on my own carnal reasoning and not wait for some revelation of God before I made a move or a decision. That was total bondage and a hard one to overcome.
