It's sad, that you're so sensitive towards what you perceive to be insults against you or groups you identify with ("persecuted" minority...depends also which area in the world...), but have no...or hardly any sensitivity for the "bad" things you dish out...In the the society I live in it's called a double moral standard...
I also wonder where you work...very sharp sarcasm I am used to; because of my job I am together with the lowly worker, labourers with different skills, but rarely with academic background...I'd say, people are polite here in comparison, very much so.
