Cool article & excellent advice. What irony, though, that churches without a scandalous track record of covering up abuse are becoming proactive, while others--such as TFI--don't see the need for policies to reduce risk. It's just wishful thinking to imagine children growing up in TFI--a group history of teaching & practicising pedophilia as an expression of God's "love"--are as safe as kids growing up outside the Family simply because TFI no longer actively & openly preaches and practices pedophilia.
